MOSAIC BBQ & WALL HANGING

After renovations around the house, I decided to give the BBQ a face lift. I rendered and
painted it and made mosaic tops for either side. I also made a wall hanging to match the
BBQ tops. My brother made the hinged BBQ swing doors , which I stained with a tinted
stain.

NEEDLE BOX LID

This is actually a Needle box Lid. I was asked to decorate for a dear friend Nellie. I was
pleased with the results. I will eventually take a photo of it with it’s basket style base and
post it here. Well here it is finally, the flash paled it out a bit!!! I am taking a guess that it
measured at least 30 - 35 cm across the width.

INCHIES SWAP

Inchies are a great fun, new art form that has had mixed media artists everywhere
grabbing their magnifying glasses. These tiny collages are only 1 inch x 1 inch in size.
I recently took part in a inchies swap and the creativity was fantastic. I framed this
swap and mounted them all onto printed paper, which I added rub-ons onto.
Great job girls.

KEYBOARD SLIDE-OUT ART

Thought I would share my happy accident with you all. I spilt some acetone on my
Keyboard Slide-out and for ages it was bugging me, it was right there in my
face ………. not for long though. I Stamped, painted , stippled with some Lumiere
paints (metallic’s) and a few small diamentes and a couple of coats of varnish,
its as good as new, I was happy with the results.
Mmmm maybe the desktop next hehehehehe!!!

NIKKI PLAQUE

My sister in-law and her husband asked me to make this plaque for their dog. Nikki
got out one night after being frightened, when neighbors left off fireworks. They
found Nikki days later, seriously hurt and had to have her put down. Nikki was a
wonderful companion to them both and was one of best dogs I have been fortunate
to know. I based this with acrylics and also used rub-ons, stamped and antiqued it.
I gave it about 4-5 coats of an outdoor sealer.

ALCOHOL INKED M/G TIN

A dear friend Anne asked me if I minded dressing her Moon Glow tin. Of course I did
not mind, I am likely to craft anything….. if it stays still long enough! StazOn was used
to do the stamping and the rest was Pinata inks. While I was intently working
Anne’s tin, Anne and her grandaughter (Rhiannon) were busy working on
some tins as well, we were all happy pottering away inking tins!!!

COLLAGE/ALCOHOL INK PENCIL TIN

Well over the years of collecting numerous accessories for crafting as we do, I had
accumulated a few different packets of Aquarell pencils, on purpose though
(to get the variety of colours). Yep you guessed it, I needed something to store them
in. I saw these locally in one of our craft shops and decided to snazzy one up for my
pencils. The great thing with this one was, it had an acetate window in which to
craft behind, Woooo Hoooo!!! I collaged the the window with an assortment of
stamps and crafted the tin with a mixture of StazOn, Pinata inks and Artline texta
colour. This is the finished result. Oh there’s that bead fringing again, I found
the beads hung to long, so all I did was turn it upside down
(so it hung down on itself), so they hang slightly shorter, presto!!
