CLIMBING BABY CROSS-STITCH

LONGSTITCH COTTAGE

CROSS-STITCH TABLECLOTH
This was given to me many years ago, it is Linen fabric. I dyed it and it came out a soft
earthy green. The floral pattern was already printed on the fabric, so all I had to do was
the Xstitch work, hemmed it with a scalloped stitch on my sewing machine.

PUNCH NEEDLE EMBROIDERY

COUNTRY TAPESTRY

FLORAL TAPESTRY

BOATING BUNNIES CROSS-STITCH
I bought one of these in kit form and proceeded to make it, when I was nearly
finished, I found there was not enough cottons to finish it, disheartened I wrote to
company of my plight and to my surprise, I received extra cotton and also a free Bunny
cross-stitch exactly the same. I decided to mirror the image and made
one in pink and one in blue!

TEDDY LONGSTITCH

SEASIDE LONG STITCH
The work measures inside of frame 19 1/2 x 31 inches, 1ft 7 1/2 x 2ft 7 1/2,
49 1/2 cm x 79 cm.

AFGHAN THROW RUG
This throw measures about 1.5 meter sqaure. I crocheted this project, using a basic
Afghan stitch. Three long panels were made in total and sewn together and the
decorative designs were cross-stitched on, which masks the joining of the panels.
I was quite impressed with the Afghan stitch, it feels like it takes forever to get any
where quick, but makes a lovely thick stitch. Nice thick throw for a cold night.

PEACOCK CROSS-STITCH
I have done a few cross-stitch over the years. This one I decided to incorporate
beading into the design down the length of the peacocks tail. There is also gold
braiding around the inner frame and also some gold stitching around the outer
frame, which did not not get picked up too well in my wonderfully…….not,
photo shot.

Trina, you are right about the Peacock, it’s a wonderful picture, although it is extraordinary when you can see the beads and the gold braid. Love Anne

Hi. I am quite taken with some of your longstitches, especially the seaside one and the vase of roses. Where are you located? Thank you, Glen.
