Hi Crafty friends, hope you all had a wonderful weekend. The winter weather here, has been quite chilly and wet. Today I have a few finished crochet projects to share with you.
Firstly I stumbled upon this adorable Amigurumi Owl project – Mr Murasaki and I was keen to try it out. It’s a free pattern design collaboration by both Mei Li of (AmiguruMEI) and Joanne Loh of (Craft Passion), two amazing, and talented ladies. This free pattern and tutorial can be found here.
I did something a little different and made some feet for Mr Murasaki with some brown felt, doubled with a cardboard layer sandwiched between the two layers for added strength and stiffness. I embellished each wing with nail art deco flower bling and the accented parts of the design with copic markers. Sssh… Mr Murasaki is so sleeeepy!
Wouldn’t you know it, just when I thought I was finished with the crochet slippers for a while, I was asked to make a few more pairs for friends of the family. I have always been quite fond of the variegated ones. These few slippers are the same pattern I used here in a previous post.
Here is another project I made a short while ago. Sometimes it’s nice to break free from the usual and try something different. This sweet crochet owl project was fun to make, although I made mine into a key-chain dangly to slip straight onto my keyring. Doesn’t she look like she has had her beak in a power point with the outcome of her frizzy hair or maybe ears! I intentionally added the frizzy bits to this adorable design by Josephine Wu of (A Morning Cup Of Jo Creations), the pattern is available free over on Ravelry.
Until Next Time…
