Hi Crafty friends, I saw a wonderful challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers, I thought would be fun joining in. It is an Inspiration Challenge (IC384), I chose this Tank top & Skirt for my inspiration. Our lovely host Stephanie has chosen Windsor as our inspiration site for this challenge.
The main image is a Flourishes design called Poppy Patch, coloured with Prisma Color pencils. I cut an MFT frame with Die-namics Decorative doily with white card stock inlay and overlayed this onto black cardstock and cut the black portion out and used foam adhesive to adhere this the the main card. There is a wonderful tutorial similar over at Jennifer McGuire Ink, definitely pop over and check it out. My methods are somewhat different and I will post more on this for you all soon.
The center of the MFT – Decorative Doily was cut with Xcut – Nesting die/Bloom. I added some lovely accents to the tips of the MFT – Decorative Doily with the scraps from my Martha Stewart Punch – Scrolled Lace. The flourishes stamped behind the MFT Decorative Doily are from Kaisercraft called Flourishes. I drew some chain links from the bottom flourish and stamped an adorable little key from Prima – Cling/Nature Garden.
To finish off the bottom portion I embossed the red panel with Stampin’ Up! – Embossing Folder/Stripes, coloured with Copics. The bottom of the white panel was cut with a Martha Stewart – Punch/Layered Arches/Border Punch and I embossed above this with a Darice Border Embossing folder/Lace. I added some bling/Diamante to the top of the Layered Arches and Diamond Glaze to the poppy to finish it off.
I thought I could use this card for either a twenty-first or a birthday card.
Happy Crafting! Thanks for poppin’ in.
What a striking card! The black and red and white looks amazing together. Fab design!
The colors are so bright and so dramatic. This is just such a pretty card. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
